Russia renews South Ossetia attacks
Swarms of Russian jets launched fresh attacks on Georgian territory today.
The attacks came as Russia accused Georgia of failing to observe a ceasefire. Russian Maj-Gen Marat Kulakhmetov said that Georgian forces continued shelling Russian positions overnight. Georgian forces are reported to have resumed "intense" shelling in South Ossetia today despite reports that Russia have total control of the breakaway region.
