Nothing new in the critics of Israel coming out of the woodwork to take another shot at the 60-year-old state

On her 60th anniversary, how they all come to bury Israel, not to praise her.

But then, what else is new?

Thousands of Toronto Jews will gather tonight at Ricoh Coliseum for a night to celebrate Israel's remarkable achievements through speakers, dance and even a popular Israeli rap band.

They join millions of others around the world who trumpet the miracle that is Israel -- home to the world's highest per capita concentration of museums, hi-tech industries, biotech start-ups, home computers and university degree graduates, the globe's largest maker of antibiotics and birthplace of the cellphone, voicemail, most of Microsoft XP, AOL instant messenger, the Pillcam, the Pentium microprocessor, the camera phone and even the seamless bra in your Victoria's Secret catalogue.
