High Court: No Right to Organs
Families do not have a right to recover organs, tissue or other body parts from a coroner after an autopsy is performed on a relative, the Ohio Supreme Court ruled today.
The court’s 6-1 decision is a blow to a Hamilton County couple that had sued in federal court after their son’s brain was removed during an autopsy without their knowledge or consent. MORE
